Retreat and Reflect in the Mournes

Over the last six months I have been preparing a reflective space for social workers. I know how important it is for people to have the opportunity to pause and reflect. Social work is always emotionally demanding, and it can have an impact on practitioners and their support networks and the last couple of years have been particularly challenging for social workers. For many years I have wanted to develop a reflective space specifically designed for social workers and twelve months ago I found what I think provides the perfect spot. Several social workers and students have visited, providing feedback to help me create an environment which will enable people to pause, reflect and return to work rejuvenated.

The space provides an opportunity for employers to support staff who are struggling with the emotional impact of the last few years. Universities have taken the opportunity to fund student group visits for reflection on learning journeys and to support PhD students to write up their work.

If you are interested in the retreat, then do take a look at the information we have put together and get in touch to discuss options. Feedback from our visitors so far has been amazing.
